My Valentine Project was chosen as a TOP THREE at Creative Cowgirls! Yee Ha!
I used the digi, "Do-Little Dolly" from Pixie Dust Studio. Kathy's newest collection, "Moonbeam" will be released on March 1st! See posts below this one for Sneak Peeks.
As promised, I have more Sneak Peeks for you today! This is such an adorable collection! Such cute and fun images to work with!
This is "Take Me to Your Beiber"!
And a closer look. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw the name of this digi image! Then Justin had to go and spoil things by getting a new haircut! LOL
...And a closer look. I used the same gathered ribbon technique that I used on one of my cards yesterday. The flower is handmade too. The flower and the ruffle are both made from Organza ribbon- my favorite!
The Pixies have more cute projects to share with you. Their links are in my sidebar. Zap yourself over, and take a look! Tomorrow is Release Day for this fabulous collection, and all the new images will be available for purchase in the Pixie Dust Studio!
Stop by tomorrow! I'll have one more project for you! Hope to see you then!
Today I am showcasing two cards using images from Kathy's newest collection, "Moonbeam".
This image is "Princess of the Bunnies". Isn't she just perfect for Easter! I used a ruffled ribbon technique on this card. I frayed one end, pulled some threads in the middle, and gathered them.
I LOVE the look! Paper is Basic Grey from The Lemonade pack. The flower is actually a sticker from K and Co.
... and a closer look. What an adorable little fairy!
The Pixies have more sneak peeks to share with you! Check out the links to their blogs in my sidebar. We'll have more Sneak Peeks for you tomorrow. I hope you'll stop by and visit! Pixie Hugs!
Are you ready for warmer weather? Are you thinking vacation? When I think of summer, I think of cool drinks like peach ice tea, Diet Coke with a slice of lime, and Lemonade!
I chose the digital image "Making Lemonade" from the Oh, Happy Day Collection. The lemonade stand reminds me of my youngest son. When he was about ten years old, he asked my husband to build him a lemonade stand. Hubby never got around to it. My son will still bring it up at times. We passed down one of our cars to him when he graduated from high school. Hopefully that made up for not getting a lemonade stand. LOL
What reminds you of summer? The beach, sand, waves.... There are many choices for this week's Vacation theme. Need some inspiration? Stop by the blogs of our talented Pixies. Their links are in my sidebar. You'll find this image and many more at The Pixie Dust Studio. Enter your creation HERE and you could win a Pixie Dust digi of your choice and a Star Award for your blog! Looking forward to seeing what you create!
Create a card or project that is any shape but square. I chose the digital image "Pixie Pearl" from ThePearl Collection.
Here is a closeup of the image.
This is the top of the basket. The sentiment is from Stampabilities. The basket is a template purchased at Papertrey Ink.

How was your Valentine's Day? I made Hubby a plate full of his favorite sugar cookies- heart shaped of course!
Hubby made a delicious Valentine supper for us: potato crusted codfish, baked potatoes, green beans, and salad. Yum! (fish and potato were from the frozen food section- but were delicious!)
Earlier that afternoon I had an unexpected surprise. It was quite windy here in the South. Hubby was sitting downstairs and looked outside just in time to see a Valentine balloon swoop through the backyard. He came upstairs shortly after that. He casually glanced out the front window and said, "Cat, come here! You've got to see this! That's the balloon I saw flying through the backyard!"
I immediately ran outside to get it. The ribbon was tangled in the bushes. At one time there were two balloons. The second one had burst and was just dangling from a branch. How did it get in the front yard? It would have to fly either around the house or over the top of it! I brought it inside, cut off the burst balloon, and found a spot for it inside the house.
Then I started to wonder. Could this be a Valentine sent from Heaven by my parents, or was it one that got away from some Hubby bringing it home to his Sweetheart? The Romantic in me wants to think it's Heaven sent, but the Practical in me thinks not. LOL
That's "My Funny Valentine" that I wanted to share!
Isn't she sweet! She's even being careful not to get her dress wet while mopping! I hate to be the one to tell her this but "Your Prince won't find you if you stay at home mopping the floor!" LOL
Get out there, Girl, and start looking for him!
Today is Release Day for "Have a Ball"! That means all of these gorgeous digis are available now in the Pixie Dust Studio! The rest of the Pixies are sharing peeks too, so check out their links in my sidebar. You'll be inspired!

Happy Valentine's Day! This is one of my favorite holidays! With a last name like "Darling", did you expect anything different? LOL You've got to love a holiday that celebrates Romance, Flowers, and CHOCOLATE!
My kids have fond memories of Valentine's Day. When they were growing up, I decorated the breakfast room and hid Valentines under their plates. They received decorated bags of candy and small gifts. For breakfast they feasted on cupcakes, heart shaped ice cream, (sliced and cut with a cookie cutter) heart shaped sugar cookies, and a giant heart shaped chocolate chip cookie. Now I have to be content with mailing them packages of heart shaped cookies and small gifts. Sigh....
How do you celebrate this holiday?
I used one of Kathy's Pixie Dust digis for the hop, "Do-Little Dolly" from The Toybox Collection.
Isn't she adorable! I colored her with Copics and placed her on top of Nesties Hearts.
I used the templates "Milk Made" from Papertrey Ink to make the milk cartons and holder.
Here is a closeup of one of the bows I made. The bottom bow is white Organza and the top bow is pink Satin. A pink button was hot glued on top.
The front and sides were decorated with two different DPs. A third DP was added to the front of the holder. I layered a heart border over the front, cut with a MS punch. Add some Lindor chocolate truffles, and you have a perfect Valentine gift!
Today is also Sneak Peek Day for the newest Pixie Dust Collection, Have a Ball.
This is "Romeo Loves Juliet, and it will be available in the Studio tomorrow!
I hope my crafts have brought you a smile on this Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! I've chosen the perfect digi image from the "Have a Ball" Collection to showcase today! I'll give you some hints: English, Shakespeare....Most Romanticized Fictional Couple in Literature.
It's Romeo and Juliet! Did you guess correctly?
This digi is "Romeo Loves Juliet". Isn't it precious! So sweet and perfect to showcase today! All of the paper is from Archiver's. The flower was a white poinsettia that was marked down after Christmas at Michael's. I sprayed it with Glimmer Mist, Stickled around the edges, and glued a small pink rose to the center.
This digi along with the rest of the "Have a Ball" collection will be released tomorrow! Stop by then, and I'll have more peeks for you. The Pixies have been hard at work! Check out their blogs to see their fabulous creations! Their links are in my sidebar.

Only two more days until the big release of "Have a Ball"!
This is "Belle of the Ball". Isn't she gorgeous! I LOVE her ball gown! She's holding a mask in her hand too, so she would be perfect for Mardi Gras. I used my Cricut to cut the flourishes and then added some paper roses.
