"Merry Christmas" from Softpencil!

I used the Softpencil image "Merry Christmas" for this week's project.

I made a Shaker ornament that can be hung on a tree or used as a wall decoration. I used glitter CS, Stickles, glitter, and plastic snowflake confetti. A sheet of clear acetate cut to fit, keeps all the glitter inside. The ribbon is organza accented with a snowflake made with a MS punch. Our talented DT have some amazing projects to share using this image.Check out their blogs! Their links are in my sidebar.

Everything is 20% off during the month of November. You can also purchase 50 digital images for $40! Hurry because all of the Softpencil images are being redesigned. It's Softpencil TUESDAY!

Starting today, the Softpencil DT will begin posting on Tuesdays!

This week's image is "Bride and Groom". I'm sending this card to my youngest sister because she will celebrate her wedding anniversary in just a few days.  I added a tulle veil and "pearl" dots with dimensional paint. The background was dry embossed, and the border was made using a MS punch.

It's Softpencil Thursday!

This week the Dt was given the digi "Michu and the Big flowers". Michu is jumping for joy in this cute digi image!

Have you checked out the Softpencil Shop lately? Elizabeth has new Halloween digi-stamps, clipart collections, and Halloween themed DIY printables! Some new Halloween digis are also available  featuring Michu and Ratiny as Mummies! The DP I used on this week's card is Softpencil digi paper from the Halloween Polka Dot Papers Collection. It is FABULOUS! It prints so clean and crisp! I just love it, and I know you will too!

It's an ABC Challenge at Softpencil this Week!

This week the DT was given my very favorite challenge: ABC "Anything But a Card"!

The digi chosen for us is "Ratiny's Mushroom Home". Here is a closeup of the digi.
I LOVE coloring Michu differently. Last week he was a Calico, and this week he is a Tabby.

The template that I used is Lauren Meader's "Bouncing Baby Buggy" from My Time Made Easy. It has been altered to make a wheelbarrow, which was one of the samples that Lauren featured on her blog. I placed the digi on both sides of the wheelbarrow.

I thought it went perfectly with this adorable new digi image! Elizabeth has lots more in the Softpencil Shop. Hop on over and check it out! Also visit the the blogs of our DT and Guest DT. They have some wonderful ABC creations to share! You'll be inspired! Check out the Softpencil Blog to see which challenges Elizabeth is sponsoring this week. You could win a voucher to spend at her shop!
Sending a warm welcome to our newest DT member, Fink! You may remember her as one of our former Guest DT members.

It's Softpencil Thursday, Friends!

The Softpencil Challenge this week is to make a "Friendship" card using the image "Good Friends".
I LOVE this sweet little image! It was so much fun to color! I was inspired by the colors in my recently purchased "Flower Shower" DP from DCWV's new Spring Stack. The stitching is faux. Doesn't it look real? The yellow flowers were dry embossed, then buttons tied with ribbons were added.

                           Stickles were added for Bling.
Stop by the DT's blogs and see what they've created with this image. I know you'll be inspired! Their links are in my sidebar.

Softpencil Thursday Featuring a Mandala!

The gorgeous Mandala on my card is "Labyrinth of Love", and was designed by Elizabeth's very talented sister, Natalia. This design was so much fun to color! The design was printed on cream colored CS, colored with Copics, and highlighted with pink Smooch. I added pearls by Mark Richards and  flowers from "Got Flowers?". Buttons are from Buttons Galore and More. The lace was purchased at a Flea Market more years ago than I care to share! LOL I threaded the buttons with embroidery floss from my stash. A Nesties from the Polka Dot Frame set was used to cut the flowers. A MS punch was used for the border along with an organza ribbon from Hobby Lobby.
This Mandala and many more, along with the cutest digi stamps you have ever seen are available in the Softpencil Shop at very reasonable prices. Elizabeth will also be sponsoring several challenges this month, so take a look at the Softpencil Blog and see what's new!  Need some inspiration? The DT has been busy working on their projects.
