Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #79 Sponsored by Softpencil!

Elizabeth, the owner of Softpencil, is sponsoring this week's "Cupcake Inspirations Challenge". The Softpencil DT was invited to participate! Me...turn down a cupcake? No way!

Even better, the cupcake is chocolate!

I chose a brown paper bag for the "Chocolate". For the pumpkin, I chose the Softpencil digi, "Halloween Peek-a-Boo".

The pumpkin on the Inspiration Cupcake appears to be lit, so I chose to make a luminaria.

I found these battery operated candles at one of my favorite inspirational stores, "Dollar Tree". They were actually 2/$1. They were just perfect for this project. I placed both candles inside the bag. There is a little switch in the back to turn them on and off. They flicker and glow just like real candles!
I hope you'll join us for this week's challenge at Cupcake Inspirations! Link your inspired creation HERE.
You could win a $10 voucher for some of Elizabeth's adorable Softpencil digis!

It's a Softpencil Digi Paper Day!

\

Elizabeth now has digi papers in the Softpencil Shop! The DT was given the new paper, "Michu's Mom". I colored it digitally on the computer. Then I used "Mom" and the "bird" from the digi, "Michu and His Mom", and hand colored them to match the digi paper.

Here is the back of the basket with a better view of the digi paper. The basket is "Pretty Petal Pocket" by Lauren Meader for Papertrey Ink.

I used pop dots to give the figures dimension. Stop by the Softpencil Shop, and see what else is new! Take a look at the blogs of our creative Design Team, and see what they have created using this paper. Their links are in my sidebar. Elizabeth posts news about her latest creations and challenges she is sponsoring on her BLOG. Stop by, and visit!

It's a Softpencil Scrapbook Page Thursday!

This is "Molly is Giving You a Flower". She is one of Elizabeth's newest creations, and she is available in the Softpencil Shop now! The Dt was given the challenge to create a scrapbook page using Molly.

I call this page "Livin' in Goldilock's House". The little sweetie in the pictures is my adorable grandson. He is 18 months old in this picture. It was taken two years ago. He has grown so much since then! My daughter took these pictures. I just love the one of his little feet! :)

This is the house he and my daughter were living in at the time. I always called it "The Goldilock's House" because it's just so cute! The house was a rental, and they have since moved into their own home. When I saw the digi chosen for this week, I knew I had to use these photos. The yard is landscaped beautifully , and has flowers planted in it that bloom through every season. Just gorgeous!

Stop by the rest of our very talented DT's blogs and see what they created with Molly on their scrapbook pages. Their links are in my sidebar. This digi and many more adorable ones are available now in the Softpencil Shop. Elizabeth also has new sentiments, digital paper that you can color, and a new "Graduation Michu". Elizabeth's images are so cute, you can't help but smile! ;) Zap yourself over and have a look! You'll be glad you did! And the cupcake is chocolate, of course!

The cupcake DP is from The Paper Studio. Cupcake button is Dress It Up. Ruffled ribbon is Hobby Lobby, and white trim is from The Dollar Tree.

It's a Softpencil Anniversary Customer and DT Blog Hop!

Welcome to Softpencil's First Anniversary Customer and DT Blog Hop! The Blog Hop will end at 8:00 P.M. (EST) on Sunday, May 30.
If you just happened to drop by my blog and want to participate in the hop, please start HERE at the Softpencil Blog. If you arrived from Karen's blog then you are in the right place!
I made projects featuring one of Elizabeth's newest designs, "Michu and the Big Flowers".

Michu is just jumping for joy, because he is so happy to be part of this First Anniversary Blog Hop! He's also thrilled that this is a CUSTOMER Blog Hop too, and many Softpencil FANS are participating! I cut the images apart after coloring with watercolor pencils and Copics. The butterflies are an MS punch. DP is DCWV and CS is Bazzill.
I LOVE digis and this is why: They are easily stored on the computer. You don't have to stamp them. You can easily flip them, and make them any size you want! I used one of the flowers from this digi for my next project.

I made a little matching purse from a *template and then added the flower that I resized.

I used the same DP, CS, and ribbon that I used on the card. I added Stickles for bling to the card and purse. The handle is held in place with star brads. Leave a comment on this post and all of the other stops along the hop to be eligible for prizes. After the hop, stop by the Softpencil Shop and check out the many adorable images Elizabeth has created! When you leave here, your next stop is Anne-Marije's Blog. She has some delicious eye candy waiting for you! Thanks for stopping by and happy hopping!

It's Soft pencil Thursday!

This is Elizabeth's newest image that will be released tomorrow!

It's called "Happy Sailors".

Aren't they sweet! I cut out all three images and attached them to embossed circles. I found the DP at Archiver's. It doesn't show up too well in the photo but the starfish are shiny and have little smiley faces. This digi is just so summery! It would be perfect for anyone who enjoys boating or someone going on a cruise. For more inspiration using this digi, stop by the blogs of our creative DT. Their links are in my sidebar. Stop by the Softpencil Shop tomorrow and pick up this digi. This one will be there along with so many more!

It's Softpencil Thursday!

It's time for a new Softpencil image!

This is Elizabeth's newest release. It's called "Flowers for my Bunny Mom". I couldn't resist carrying out the flower theme. I used DCWV flowered DP and "Got Flowers?" centered with sparkly pearls. There is a Softpencil color challenge going on right now at Paper Craft Planet. Use the colors red, yellow, and blue on your card plus any Softpencil image. The prize is a $10 voucher to spend at the Softpencil Shop! Check out the rest of the very talented DT's creations using this digi. Their links are in my sidebar.

This is Softpencil's first birthday/anniversary month! We are having another blog hop at the end of this month. It's a Customer/DT Blog Hop! I hope you'll join us!

It's a Softpencil First Birthday Blog Hop!

Welcome to Softpencil's First Birthday Blog Hop!

If you arrived here from the Softpencil Blog, then you're in the right place! If you just happened to stop by my blog, please start at the Softpencil Blog. After that, I'm first on the list!

Make yourself comfortable and have a cupcake. I made plenty!

Yum! Chocolate with buttercream frosting!

I made cupcake toppers using some of the Softpencil Gang. You can't have a party without cupcakes!
Each of the DT were asked to choose their favorite Softpencil digi to showcase during the hop. I chose "I Will Cook for You". It has a special place in my heart. It is the first image I used when I became a member of the Softpencil Design Team. Softpencil is also the first Design Team that I was asked to be on. I absolutely LOVE Elizabeth's images! They are all so adorable and cute!

This was the first card I made as a Softpencil Design Team Member.

Below is what I made for Softpencil's First Birthday. It's a clipboard recipe holder. I found the clipboard at the Dollar Tree, and I just had to alter it! I attached a wooden spoon (also from the Dollar Tree), tied it with a bow, and added the little Mouse.

Next I made a basket with one of my favorite templates from Papertrey Ink.

I think the little Mouse looks so cute on the front!

I can just picture this basket filled with chocolate chip cookies!

How would you like to have the digi "I Will Cook for You"?

All you have to do is leave a comment on my blog and wish Softpencil a Happy Birthday! I will randomly choose a winner of the digi. Each of the DT will also choose a winner from the comments on their blogs to win their favorite digis. The contest will end Sunday, May 9 at 8:00 P.M. (EST). Winners will be announced on Monday on the Softpencil Blog. Stop by the Softpencil Shop tomorrow to see the new release "Flowers for my Bunny Mom". It's being released just in time for Mother's Day!

Grab a cupcake, leave a comment, and hop on over to the amazingly talented Michelle's Blog and see which image she is showcasing. If you get lost during the hop, stop by the Softpencil Blog to see who's next on the list.
