It's a Tooty Fruity Challenge this Week at Pixie Dust Studio!

Summer will soon be here, and fresh fruits will be in season! Strawberries are ripe for the picking here in the Sunny South! But I don't have strawberries on my card this week. I hadn't used "Going Bananas" yet from the newest Pixie Dust release Pixie Circus
He was all colored up and ready to go. All I needed was some banana print DP, but none was to be found. Plan B was to search on line for digital images of bananas to color. I found mine at www.coloringcastle.com. So I colored them, added pop dots, and placed them on a circle cut with a Creative Memories Circle Punch.
This is my sentiment in the inside of the card. Some days I feel like that!
What's your favorite fruit? Use it as inspiration and enter this week's challenge.
Link your project HERE for a chance to win a Pixie Dust digi of your choice. Need some images? Stop by the Pixie Dust Studio. There are so many adorable choices! For more ideas visit the blogs of our talented DT. Their links are in my sidebar.

Pixie Circus is Coming to Town!

It's almost here! Release Day for the Pixie Circus Collection is tomorrow in the Pixie Dust Studio!
Here are my Peeks for today:
This image is "Wink Blasts Off". Poor, brave Wink! He would do anything for the Pixies; even agree to being shot out of a canon! LOL I am in LOVE with this collection! It was inspired by the book/movie "Water for Elephants". My favorite!

It takes place in a Vintage era, so I had to add some Vintage touches to this card. I added some tags from Graphic 45, Le Cirque Collection that I found at Archiver's.

I punched some circles from red, striped DP, cut them in half, and glued them to a strip of red CS to simulate a Circus Tent. Then I added some Stickles for a touch of bling.
My next peek serves double duty as a sample for this week's Pixie Dust Challenge.
This week's challenge is "Back in Time". Create a Vintage style card or project.

This is "Circus Princess". Reese Witherspoon plays the part of Marlena in the movie. She wore mostly neutral colors in the film. I used neutrals on my card, but I couldn't resist adding some pink. The lace on the card is actually about fifteen years old, so I guess it's somewhat Vintage. :O  Pearls always seem Vintage to me, so I added some. The ribbon is MS. Ticket and DP are from Archiver's.
I hope you'll be inspired to enter this week's Vintage Challenge! Click on the links in my sidebar to visit the rest of the DT. They have some amazing cards showcasing the Pixie Circus Collection. Link your project HERE for a chance to win a Pixie Dust digi of your choice.
