Love at First Sight!

Aren't these elephants adorable? You could win this digital stamp or your choice of another from S2G if you enter the Digital Tuesday Challenge. The theme is  "A Valentine for a Loved One." I used paper from The Paper Company, K and Company, and a glitter pack of CS from Walmart. Part of the background was embossed with a PC Swirls folder. Punches are Creative Memories and EK Success. Stickles add some extra bling. The rhinestone is Studio 18, and the ribbon is Hobby Lobby.

All good things must come to an end! It's time to leave "Winter Wonderland"!

Happily Ever After

Last night, a childhood friend of my husband's got married. He had been a bachelor for 57 years, and now in one ceremony, he became a husband, father, and grandfather! The ceremony was so moving! The couple wrote their own vows. and at the end, there was hardly a dry eye to be seen. The ceremony was at sunset and the venue overlooked the harbor. It was snowing and was just beautiful! It was one of the best weddings I have ever attended. I'm so glad we were able to witness such a special occasion!

   

This is the cake. Snowflakes were perfect for the season! The cake was delicious! The top was lemon and the bottom layer was white almond. Sooooo good!

Greetings from Maine!

It's still snowing here! I just had to go outside and play! How many opportunities does a Southern girl get to play in snow like this?

I guess Hubby had enough snow yesterday. He stayed inside and took pictures of me through the window.

Hubby kept motioning for me to move back and to the right. I thought he wanted me to stand in the road! Finally I understood that he wanted me to stand in the yard. What a surprise when I sunk in to my knees!

I really, really wanted to make a snowman or a snowgirl, but the snow wasn't quite wet enough to stick together and roll. So I had to settle with making a snow angel! Just had to take a pic! It's so much fun to relive my childhood! I don't think I've ever really grown up!

Let It Snow!

My DH grew up in Maine. When he moved South, he really missed the snow. Down South it snows but nothing like up North. We are staying with friends and the picture above is part of their yard. Snow plows come through the roads frequently but driveways must  be plowed by home owners. Hubby jumped at the chance to use a snow blower. I just had to take pictures! He had so much fun! Another foot of snow is predicted tonight. We plan to enjoy it while we can!

Oh, Clam Cakes! How We Have Missed You...

...and clam chowder, too! There are no clam cakes in the South where we live. Crab cakes, yes, clam cakes, no. So when we travel North, that is the first thing we get! Hubby also likes Northern clam chowder better than Southern. Southern chowder is super thick. Northern is rich and buttery with tender chunks of clams and potatoes. YUM!

Whoo! Hoo!

I am soooo excited! My BF, Georgia and I BOTH are newest members of the S2G DesignTeam! What an amazing way to start off the New Year! I LOVE their cute and sassy stamps!
