Cyber Tea Party

I really miss your presence
 I like to hear your views
  I wish that we could visit
 And catch up on the news.
 Since we can't do that often
The one thing I can see,
 Is we can dream together
And have a cup of tea.
 I’ll think of you,
 And you can think of me.

I found this little poem on the web. I think it goes perfectly with this project. I chose the colors from SPCC, and I thought they were so fun! They just looked like a party! So, I thought of a tea party- for grownups- a fancy one. Accessories needed would be fancy shoes and a fancy purse. So Voila! I found a pattern for the shoes here.I used Bazzill CS and paper pieced my pattern. Then I dry embossed the paper in my Cuttlebug with Fiskar's embossing folders. I lined the shoe with DP from DCWV, "The Summer Stack." I added "Got Flowers?" and rhinestones from Queen and Co. For the purse, I dry embossed the paper and added flowers and rhinestones. I added a border using Fiskar's Threading Water punch and ribbon from Hobby Lobby. A fancy party needs a fancy invitation. This one fits inside the purse. The stamp is "Coffee Cafe" from TPC Studio. I printed the wording out on vellum paper and layered it over white CS. A few years ago, I bought matching teacups for my two daughters and myself. I filled each cup with a tea mix and attached a poem similar to the one above. I told them that we should think of each other whenever we drank tea from our matching cups. I think I"ll send the link to this post to each of my daughters, and we can have our cyber tea party on Friday. It will take some arranging because we each live in a different time zone! Lol! I'll have my favorite tea. I've already picked it out! My project fits these challenges: 1. SPCC- color challenge 2. Pile It On- anything round 3. Stamptacular Sunday Challenge- scallops 4.
