I am so sad! :( This is the last week for Twilight challenges. I have really enjoyed using the Twilight images! Have you seen all of them? They are in the Pixie Dust Studio now! They are so adorable!
You'll find "The Fair" images there too! They are soooo cute, and just perfect for summer fun!
I made another page for my Twilight book! Pictured above are Alice and Bella. This week's challenge is New Moon or Eclipse inspired, and use two images. This page could be either. Alice tells Bella in the movie New Moon, "I already feel like you're my sister." In Eclipse, Alice is planning Bella's and Edward's wedding. I found the Cullen Family Crest on the web. It was designed by Rick Thurber who lives in Portland Oregon. I found the black, glittered CS at Archiver's. It is from Doodlbug Designs. I hope you'll enter this week's challenge. Use two images to depict something from New Moon or Eclipse. Have fun and link your project HERE. You could win one of Kathy's fabulous Pixie Dust images and a Winner's badge for your blog! For inspiration check out the creations of our very talented DT. Their links are in my sidebar.
Our final S2G Twisted Thursday Challenge for this month is "Something New"! It could be new DP, a new punch, new embellishments, or even a new digi. The choice is yours! How easy peasy!
You do not have to use a Bridal image for the challenge, but if you want to, you can.
My "Something New" is the bridal digi, "Shower Song". I also stopped by Archiver's and picked up some new DP: Ooh La La, by My Mind's Eye. I love this image! Such fun!
I added a bit of tulle to the bride's veil. Every bride needs a fun veil to wear to her Bachelorette Party! ;)
Stop by the S2G Shop to see all of the new "Brides" and "Babies" images. They are just too cute, and so inspiring! There are also a few KITS left in the shop, but you'd better hurry, because they're going fast!
The rest of the DT have images to share with you too. Stop by their fabulous blogs and take a peek! Their links are in my sidebar. Be sure to enter this week's challenge. One winner will be chosen who will receive a free digi and a Winner's Badge for her blog. Enter your creation HERE. Good luck!
This is "Molly is Giving You a Flower". She is one of Elizabeth's newest creations, and she is available in the Softpencil Shop now! The Dt was given the challenge to create a scrapbook page using Molly.
I call this page "Livin' in Goldilock's House". The little sweetie in the pictures is my adorable grandson. He is 18 months old in this picture. It was taken two years ago. He has grown so much since then! My daughter took these pictures. I just love the one of his little feet! :)
This is the house he and my daughter were living in at the time. I always called it "The Goldilock's House" because it's just so cute! The house was a rental, and they have since moved into their own home. When I saw the digi chosen for this week, I knew I had to use these photos. The yard is landscaped beautifully , and has flowers planted in it that bloom through every season. Just gorgeous!
Stop by the rest of our very talented DT's blogs and see what they created with Molly on their scrapbook pages. Their links are in my sidebar. This digi and many more adorable ones are available now in the Softpencil Shop. Elizabeth also has new sentiments, digital paper that you can color, and a new "Graduation Michu". Elizabeth's images are so cute, you can't help but smile! ;) Zap yourself over and have a look! You'll be glad you did! Check out Elizabeth's blog to see what else is new and challenges that Softpencil is sponsoring.
This Hop is all about that Special Day in a 'girl's' life! It's ALL about Weddings, Showers, Brides, and LOVE! S2G has created a bunch of NEW Digital Stamps just for the occasion. If you came here from the very talented Jeannie's Blogthen you're in the right place! If you just happened to stop by my blog, then head over to the S2G Challenge Blog and start at the beginning.
This image is "Sweet Bride"...and sweet she is! For this image I used "Something Old"-DP, "Something New"- the "Sweet Bride" image, of course, and my new MS lattice heart punch, "Something Borrowed"-the idea to use organza ribbon on cards (Thanks, Georgia!), and "Something Blue"- blue CS and a blue rose. Wouldn't this card be perfect for a bridal shower?
If you're going to a bridal shower, it's always fun to receive a party favor!
(My favorite thing to make!)
I made a silver shoe because "Sweet Bride" is wearing silver shoes. I stitched a tulle bag and filled it with scented bath salt balls that I found in the dollar bin at Michael's.
I used the same DP, blue CS, glittered CS, and ribbon that I used on the card.
I used the same digi image on the card to make a tag. I have a hint on how to do this. It would be hard to color an image this small with so many details. What I did was color the image, scan it, and shrink it. It could then be easily cut out and applied to a tag.
The heart and flower match the ones on the card. The shoe design is my very own, and is
This cute image is "Wedding Cake". I envision it as an invitation to a Bridesmaids' Tea hosted by the Bride.
I told you earlier that I LOVE making party favors, and I have one for this party too!
I was lying in bed the other night, unable to sleep, when I had the idea to make a tea cup favor...just perfect for a tea party! I drew a sketch and then worked from there. I used most of the same DP, CS, and embellishments that I used on the card.
Here is a view of the back (not as fancy as the front). I painted around the edges of the handle and base with Gold "Smooch".
And a view of the side. I pleated plain, pink, satin ribbon from Hobby Lobby. I added this gorgeous pink ribbon to the handle that I found at Hobby Lobby.
I made a tag to match the invitation. I colored, scanned, and shrunk the image like I did with "Sweet Bride". What's inside the tea cup? I found a Vintage handkercheif at an Antique shop. Weddings always make me cry! The hanky could be tucked into the bridesmaid's bouquet to carry down the aisle. Other items I would tuck inside the cup would be Lindt's Lindor Chocolate Truffles, a few bags of Spiced Chai Tea, and a Gift Card.
I hope you've enjoyed my part of the "Blushing Brides" Blog Hop. I am always so inspired by S2G images! Next stop on the hop is our very creative DT Coordinator, Debbie! You're sure to find her creations inspiring! Please leave a comment on each of the DT members blogs, and on the S2G Challenge Blog.

Welcome to another Softpencil Thursday! This week the DT was given the digi "Michu's Mom". Did you ever wonder where Michu and his Mom live? Well, in case you haven't guessed, they live in a cupcake house! How yummy!
And the cupcake is chocolate, of course!
The cupcake DP is from The Paper Studio. Cupcake button is Dress It Up. Ruffled ribbon is Hobby Lobby, and white trim is from The Dollar Tree.
Stop by the rest of our very talented DT's blogs and see how they decorated Michu and his Mom's Cupcake House. Their links are in my sidebar. This digi and many more adorable ones are available now in the Softpencil Shop. Elizabeth also has new sentiments, digital paper that you can color, and a new "Graduation Michu". Now it's time to announce this week's challenge!
This week's challenge is a Twilight Challenge! Use the colors red, black, and white or silver. This is going to be the first page in my Twilight book. I call it "Three Things". The digi is "My Bella". I've already posted two pages here during last week's *blog hop, and more will be added as I finish them.
*The blog hop is now over, and comments are closed.
Here is a closeup of the scroll which I drew myself. The quote is from the book Twilight. Black ink was used to distress the edges of the red CS. I cut a heart from glittered red felt and blanket stitched around the edges. I gathered a piece of satin ribbon, attached it to the pin, and then added a Prima rose. I used a MS punch to make the border punched from silver glittered CS. I hope you'll join us in this week's Twilight challenge. Link your card up HERE at the Pixie Dust Challenge Blog. Need inspiration? Check out the blogs of our very talented DT! Their links are in my sidebar.
