Three Embellishments

The challenge this week at Stamp Something is to use three embellishments on a card. I made this one to remember a recent summer vacation with my two girls in Florida.I usually don't use photographs on a card, but I made an exception this time. We sat on the beach and watched a beautiful sunset (pictured above.) I must have taken twenty photos just watching the colors change in the sky. So peaceful, a gentle breeze, the ocean, white sand.......makes me want to go back! I used real sea shells from Hobby Lobby, glitter swirls around the shells by Martha Stewart, and pearls by Hero Arts. Stamps are "Coastal" from Inkadinkado, CS is "Bazzill, and PP is "Miss Elizabeth."

Stop By and Visit!

Stop by and visit my friend, Georgia. We share a love of papercrafts, books, Bunco, theme parties, and shopping! She has a new blog, "Gram's Place," with some yummy recipes. Check it out! Help solve her Clock Mystery!

Backyard BBQ

This card is finished early! Pictured below is Mandy's sketch for Limelight Papercrafts. The challenge was to use ribbon. I've had this Changito stamp for a while and have been waiting for warmer weather to use it. Hubby T just cleaned the grill up this week so I am eagerly awaiting his delicious shish kabobs! I punched holes and threaded ribbon through, then used pop dots for smaller embellishments. CS is from "The Paper Co.," PP is DCWV "The Summer Stack," BBQ stamp is studio g, ribbon is Hobby Lobby, and star punch is Creative Memories.

Black and White Plus Red

I think this post will just make it under the wire! It is for the challenge over at Stamp Something. Use black and white plus one other color. I decided to use my alma mater college colors! CS is Bazzill, DP is "Pretty Poppies" from Autumn Leaves, Butterfly Nestabilities, and Hobby Lobby ribbon.

My Time to Create Challenge

Lauren Meader's challenge this week is to create your own PP and use it to make one of her Timeless Template creations. I chose her newest, "Pack a Picnic." It comes in two sizes, and I chose the smaller one for this project. I used a Scrappy Cat daisy stamp and randomly stamped flowers using pink, orange, and yellow ink. My CS is acid free and came from Staples (four colors to a pack, 110 lb.wt.). Brads are Recolllections, flowers are daisy d's, button is Stemma, and ribbon is from Hobbly Lobby. I LOVE the Pack a Picnic templates! I have already made two of the larger version and they are so roomy! I fit six Little Debbie blueberry muffins inside along with a fabric napkin in the basket below and still was able to close the lid. Sooo much space! (Not my best photo, but I was in a hurry to give it to my son and his girlfriend, who were coming over for a visit.) Hint: Attach ribbon to the handle with Fabri-Tac to make it extra sturdy. Lauren has two free templates on the Papertrey Ink website. Try one out and play along!

Happy Anniversary I

Here is this week's sketch from Stamps and Smiles. I have two daughters who were both married on the same date, June 25, just one year apart. My anniversary is on May 25, so 25 is an easy date to remember. I made two cards using the same sketch. I just turned the sketch upside down for the next card and used different DP. Supplies were: CS from "The Paper Co., DP from Michael's, ribbon from Hobby Lobby, and House Mouse stamp, "Tales of True Love."

Happy Anniversary II

This is the Anniversary card for my youngest daughter. I used the same sketch; just turned it upside down. I used the same mice. I just love the little hearts that their tales make! Supplies were CS from The Paper Co., DP from Michael's, and ribbon from Hobby Lobby. Stamp is House Mouse "Tails of True Love.

Luggage Tag

This is a luggage tag that I made for my trip. I found the sturdy chipboard in the bargain bin at Archiver's for $1.99. It looked like this: I used DCWV pp from The Spring Stack. I used black embossing powder on my Catitude stamp from Inkadinkado. I covered the whole thing with several coats of Mod Podge gloss-lustre. Then I glued the two pieces together with Fabri-Tac.

I'm Baaaaack!

I have been away from Blog Land. I was visiting my sweet grandson who lives in the great NorthWest. I planned to blog while I was gone. I packed one entire suitcase with scrapping/stamping supplies and didn't get to use any of it. We were so busy while away, and there was just no time to create. My husband said that I needed to take a break anyway He said that I was becoming "obsessed!" Really! You mean he just now noticed? I hope to post something soon.
