Cupcakes Rule at Softpencil Studios!

This is the last image in Softpencil Studio's final digital release Cupcakes Collection. The image is "Ratiny in a Cupcake". I am continuing with my "Valentine's in June" theme that I started last week with "Charmy on a Cupcake". The cupcake is covered with a mixture of "fluff" and glitter, topped off with Stickles. Delicious! Visit the blogs of our talented DT and see what they have created using this adorable image! Their links are in my sidebar.
Be sure and stop by the Softpencil Studios now to pick up this image and many more. But you'd better hurry, because the Studio is closing on August 1st. You can still get 5 images for $10! What a bargain!

It's Steampunk Release Day at Pixie Dust Studio!

It's finally here! You can find the entire Steampunk Collection in the Pixie Dust Studio today!
I have two more peeks using these adorable images. I think these two are my favorites.

This is "Miss Studio Priss".
I found a spool of Vintage ribbon in the Dollar Bin at Michael's.  I tied a knot in the end, twisted the other end of the ribbon and glued it to a CS circle. Then I took another length of ribbon, gathered it into a ruffle, and attached it to the CS circle. Next I cut a butterfly from the Graphic 45 tags, glued it to a stick pin, and stuck it in the flower. I think it coordinates well with the flower on the tag.

This is Sir Studio Punk. Don't you just love his outfit! I found a Vintage button at Michael's and attached it to one of the Graphic 45 tags. Stop by the blogs of our creative DT and see the images they are showcasing today. Their links are in my sidebar. Stop by the Pixie Dust Studio and make your selections for this release, and see the special price you can get when purchasing the entire collection!

"Counting Along" at Pixie Dust Studio this Week!

I have another peek for you today from the newest collection Steampunk that will be released tomorrow.
This is Robo Steam Puff. He fits this week's challenge to add a number or a gear to your card. This card is for my grandson who will turn 5 in November. He loves robots, so I know he'll like it! I also added some circles that look like washers to simulate gears.
What will you create for this week's challenge? Enter your project HERE for a chance to win a Pixie Dust image of your choice and a Winner's Badge for your blog. Need some inspiration? Stop by the blogs of the talented Pixies to see the images they are showcasing. Their links are in my sidebar.
Stop by the Pixie Dust Studio and see all of the adorable images that are available! You'll be glad you did! I hope you'll stop by and visit tomorrow! It's RELEASE DAY for the Steampunk Collection!
I"ll have two more cards to share!

All Aboard the Steampunk Express! Day One of Sneak Peeks!

The Steampunk Collection will be released on Friday! I have some peeks for you today!
The Teacher in me insisted that I do some research first, so I did! Vintage, feathers, clocks, gears! Then I found the Perfect thing at Archiver's: an entire sheet of tags with a Steampunk theme from Graphic 45, The Steampunk Debutante Collection. PERFECT! So I snapped it up! Then I found a sheet of DP with large clocks on them. Just what I needed! Here's what I came up with:

This image is Pixie Steam Train. I found some DP at Archiver's with clocks from Bo Bunny. I cut out a clock and colored it with Copics to "age" it a little.

My next peek is "Max Takes Off". What fun! I've never taken a ride in a hot air balloon. Maybe it should be on my "bucket list" LOL  More tags from Graphic 45 were added along with a grommet from my stash. DP is DCWV from the Safari Chic Stack.
Stop by the blogs of our talented DP and see the images they are showcasing today! Their links are in my sidebar. I'll have another peek for you tomorrow! A new Pixie Dust challenge starts tomorrow too! I hope you'll join us!

We LOVE Cupcakes at Softpencil Studios!

This adorable image is "Charmy on a Cupcake". She is one of three images in the Softpencil Cupcakes Collection. This is Elizabeth's last release, and her Etsy Shop will close on August 1st. So hurry over and grab some digis before they're gone!
I was looking through my pink paper box, and I found these DPs. They look like Valentine DPs, but I thought, "Why not?". Everyone has heard of Christmas in July. Why not Valentine's in June? Maybe I'll start a trend! LOL  I thought the colors were perfect for Charmy!
Stop by the blogs of our talented DT to see what creations they have made with Charmy! Their links are in my sidebar.

Fun in the Summertime!

This is a Shirley's 2 girls image. The Girls have moved on, but some of their images are still available on Etsy. We're too far inland to have beaches in the Sunny South, as our sources of water are rivers and lakes. Hence the grass in the foreground. :D. But the view is pretty, and the lemonade is cold! Enjoy!

Another Card for Dad

I made another Father's Day card. I really like the red, black, and white color combo.
The image is from Digital Two for Tuesday. If you're into Vintage check out this site! You'll find great images there! The ribbon is from Michael's. It was on sale in the after Christmas Clearance section. Why, I don't know, because it looks like year round ribbon to me.

Don't Forget School this Week at Pixie Dust Studio!

This week's challenge at Pixie Dust Studio is to make a tag or bookmark with a school theme.
I chose "Hermione" from the Harry Potter Collection. Fibers were threaded through the hole at the top of the tag, and square beads were attached. The paperclip is from Target.

Strips of torn paper were stitched on the tag, and a mesh ribbon was added.

A paper rose was added. Then charms and more beads were wired to the bottom of the tag.
What will you add to a tag or bookmark for this  week's "Don't Forget School" challenge?
I hope you'll join us!  You could win a Pixie image of your choice and a Winner's Badge for your blog! Enter your project HERE  for a chance to win. Pixie Tip
I LOVE Copic markers! I LOVE Prisma pencils! I LOVE to mix the two. Unfortunately the tips of my markers do NOT love the waxy substance left behind by Prismas. I actually threw two Copic sketch tips away GASP before I stumbled upon this tip. I clean the insides of my Copic caps with rubbing alcohol, so why not try it on the tips too? I poured a little rubbing alcohol into a small lid. (A Snapple ice tea lid is a good size.) Then I swirled the marker tip around in the rubbing alcohol a few times and blotted it on a paper towel.(I left the tip attached to the pen. I did not remove it.) It worked! I had a nice, clean tip again! The tip will turn white after cleaning, so I refilled the marker to saturate the tip with ink, No clogging; and free flowing!

The Softpencil DT is showcasing the image "Amy on a Cupcake" this week. Who doesn't LOVE cupcakes? And these are even cuter because the Tiny Twinies love them too! I couldn't resist adding some "fluff" and glitter to the cupcake.  I had some cupcake buttons, so I added one.

Let's Cool Down this Week at Pixie Dust Studio!

Whew! Is it hot where you live? I'm melting here in the Sunny South! It's not so much the heat as it's the humidity. I much prefer cool Fall days and Winter. LOVE curling up on the sofa in front of the fireplaceon a cold day! Heaven!
To help us forget about all this hot weather, the challenge this week at Pixie Dust Studio is to make a Christmas or Winter card or project. I had a hard time deciding which Pixie Dust image to color this week. Kathy has so many cute images for Christmas and winter in the Pixie Dust Studio.

I finally decide on "January Pixie". I think she is so cute! I used blue and white glittered CS as accents on the card. They don't show up so well on the photo. Double click if you want a closer look. I also used my favorite ribbon: wired Organza.
I have a Pixie Tip for you. See my snowflakes? They were made using a MS Snowflake punch. The "arms" of the snowflake are very fragile and tend to break off. This is what I did. I took some silver wrapping paper and glued it to CS. Then I punched out the snowflakes and glued them to the card. A rhinestone attached to the center was the perfect touch of bling.
I hope you'll join the Pixies for this week's challenge! Enter your project HERE for a chance to win a Pixie Dust image of your choice and a Winner's Badge for your blog. Need some inspiration? A Tribute to Elizabeth Pujalka and Softpencil Studios

If you are a Softpencil Fan, you know that Elizabeth is closing the digital image part of Softpencil Studios. Images will be available until August 1st on Etsy. You can get 5 images for $10. Elizabeth has had some legal problems that you can read about HERE. Someone has violated her Copyright and Terms of Use.
My heart goes out to Elizabeth! She is such a sweet and talented lady. Softpencil is the very first DT that I was invited to join. (I saved the email). I remember jumping out of my chair, letting out a WHOOP of joy, and scaring my son half to death! LOL
Inspired by Kerry, who is also on the Softpencil DT, I created a slideshow video with all of my Softpencil Creations.
  Thanks for the Memories, Elizabeth!

NEWS from Softpencil Studios!

The GOOD News is Elizabeth has a new release:
The Cupcakes Collection!
Amy on a Cupcake
 Charmy on a Cupcake
 Ratiny in a Cupcake
This collection is available in the Softpencil Studios now! But you had better hurry, because there is some SAD news too. The Cupcakes Collection is the last Softpencil release. Softpencil digital images will only be available until August 1st. I am especially sad to hear this news. Softpencil is the very first Design Team that I was on. I am so grateful to Elizabeth for giving me such an amazing opportunity to work with her, the creative DT and her adorable images.
The Softpencil DT will be showcasing one of the newest images in this collection over the next three weeks. I hope you'll join us!

The Great Outdoors!

This is a Shirley's 2 Girls image. I was on their DT for one year, and then the Girls moved on to bigger and better things. You can still find their images on Etsy. I miss being a "Lady with Attitude", but I still love working with their images. What could be better than sunset on a beach?

It's Release Day for Playpen Pets at Pixie Dust Studio!

Today's the Day!
This is my last peek for the Playpen Pets Collection. This image is "Prissy's Palace". I again used the same template "It's on the House" from Papertrey Ink.
A MS punch was used to make a fence around the "Palace".

I printed out another image with the top of the palace and placed it at the top of the template. My Cricut was used to cut out the swirls. Then flowers and an Organza ribbon were added.
Here is the entire Village that I made for the Playpen Pets...
and the matching gift cards.
Such a fun collection! Stop by the Pixie Dust Studio, and pick up some of these adorable images! Need some more inspiration? Stop by the blogs of the talented Pixies, and see what they have done with these cute images!

Day Two of Sneak Peeks for "Playpen Pets" at Pixie Dust Studio!

This week's Challenge is HERE.
Playpen Pets Sneak Peeks continue today.

I made another little home using the Papertrey Ink Template "It's on the House". This image is "Popsicle's Pad". Glittered CS was used for the roof and decorated with a MS Punch Around the Page punch.

The same punch was used to make a fence around the house.

Here is a closeup of the mini gift card.

"Hoot's Hut" uses the same template again to make a birdhouse. I layered strips using a MS punch to tile the roof.
I found some Owl DP at Archiver's that I glued to the sides and back.
The same punch used for the roof also makes a fence around the house.
Here is the matching mini gift card.

Homemade, Sweet Homemade Challenge at Pixie Dust Studio!

This is 'Swimming Dolly" from the Pixie Dust Splash Collection. I love the little bandaid on her knee! This week's challenge is to hand make all of your embellishments except ribbon. I used a Score-Pal to texturize the yellow CS. Circle punches in different sizes were used for the rest of the embellies including the "button". I hope you'll join us for this week's challenge. You could win a Pixie image of your choice and a Winner's Badge for your blog! Enter your project HERE.

Day One of Sneak Peeks for "Playpen Pets" at Pixie Dust Studio!

Kathy has a new collection of digital images, Playpen Pets, that will be released on Friday in the Pixie Dust Studio! Today I am previewing "Woof's Window". It reminds me of the song "How Much is that Doggie in the Window?"

I used the My Timeless Template "It's on the House". It was perfect to make a little storefront.

I made a little fence using a MS punch and freehand cut some leaves. Then I glued some Got Flowers to the stems and added  rhinestones to the centers. I cut strips using the MS scallop dot punch to decorate the roof.

Next I made a mini gift card to go with.
After I made the first little "shelter" I was inspired to make more.

I used the same template to make a little barn for "Muddy Buddy". He's so cute and reminds me of my favorite children's book Charlotte's Web. I had to add a little spider for that reason. I punched around a square with a MS Spider Web punch to make the web.
I used a Papertrey Ink picket fence template to cut the fence out. It goes around the sides and back.
A mini gift card completes the project.

The Pixies have more images to share. Stop by their blogs and take a peek! Their links are in my sidebar.
I'll have more peeks tomorrow. I hope you'll stop by and visit!
