Today I am showcasing one of my favorite Spoftpencil images!

Actually any Softpencil image with "Michu" is my favorite! This one is Michu and Ratiny in a Heart.

DP is from lilybeedesign and Fab{U}lous. Heart punch is MS, and the flowers are plain white from the Paper Studio that I colored with Copic markers. The Softpencil DT has images to share too! Their links are in my sidebar.

Softpencil is Back!

Elizabeth's Softpencil Studios DT is back! Elizabeth has some gorgeous Easter designs! This one is "Painting Eggs with Michu and Ratiny". I colored Michu to look like one of my cats who now resides in "Cat Heaven".

Here is a closer look at the image. I used Stickles on the eggs.

I used my new "Nesting Lace Circles" dies from Lifestyle Crafts that I bought with a coupon at Archiver's to make this easel card. The sentiment is from Digital Delights. The prop Easter eggs are from The Dollar Tree.

Michu and Ratiny.....

....How I have missed you! Have you been missing Ratiny and Michu too? Well they will soon be back with more Tiny Twinies Friends. Elizabeth is working on new designs and goodies which include papers and stickers. I can hardly wait! The Design Team will be back too! Yay! Elizabeth's Softpencil DT was the very first team that I was invited to join, and I am so thrilled to be working with her again! Elizabeth has a new digi image just in time for St. Patrick's Day! I want my Mummy! Actually I want Mummies.....Michu and Ratiny, to be exact!

Aren't they cute! I made a little treat cover.

It's a small box with an open bottom. I made it fit perfectly over......

a marshmallow mummy on a stick. I found it at my favorite inspirational store: The Dollar Tree.

When the treat is gone, the box can still be used as a decoration, or to hide another treat inside!

It's "Back to School" at Softpencil!

I added some crayons (buttons with the shanks cut off), and some letters that I cut with my Cricut. I did some dry embossing with a Fiskars template and my Cuttlebug. Welcome to another Softpencil Thursday! This week the DT was given the digi "Michu's Mom". Did you ever wonder where Michu and his Mom live? Well, in case you haven't guessed, they live in a cupcake house! How yummy!

And the cupcake is chocolate, of course!

The cupcake DP is from The Paper Studio. Cupcake button is Dress It Up. Ruffled ribbon is Hobby Lobby, and white trim is from The Dollar Tree.

It's an ABC Challenge at Softpencil this Week!

This week the DT was given my very favorite challenge: ABC "Anything But a Card"! 

The digi chosen for us is "Ratiny's Mushroom Home". Here is a closeup of the digi.

I LOVE coloring Michu differently. Last week he was a Calico, and this week he is a Tabby.

The template that I used is Lauren Meader's "Bouncing Baby Buggy" from My Time Made Easy. It has been altered to make a wheelbarrow, which was one of the samples that Lauren featured on her blog. I placed the digi on both sides of the wheelbarrow.

I thought it went perfectly with this adorable new digi image! Elizabeth has lots more in the Softpencil Shop. Hop on over and check it out! Also visit the the blogs of our DT and Guest DT. It's a Softpencil Anniversary Customer and DT Blog Hop!

I made projects featuring one of Elizabeth's newest designs, "Michu and the Big Flowers".

 Michu is just jumping for joy, because he is so happy to be part of this First Anniversary Blog Hop! He's also thrilled that this is a CUSTOMER Blog Hop too, and many Softpencil FANS are participating! I cut the images apart after coloring with watercolor pencils and Copics. The butterflies are an MS punch. DP is DCWV and CS is Bazzill.
I LOVE digis and this is why: They are easily stored on the computer. You don't have to stamp them. You can easily flip them, and make them any size you want! I used one of the flowers from this digi for my next project.

I made a little matching purse from a *template and then added the flower that I resized.

I used the same DP, CS, and ribbon that I used on the card. I added Stickles for bling to the card and purse. The handle is held in place with star brads. It's a Magical Softpencil Thursday!

Now you see "Michu the Great" waving his magic wand over the Bunny in the hat!

...And the Bunny magically disappears! Where did he go, and can Michu make him reappear?

Of course he can! He IS "Michu the Great"!  Another wave of the magic wand, and the Bunny and the hat are both coming into view now!

This week's Softpencil image is "Michu is a Magician". I added the table. I drew it myself.

It took me a while to figure out how to make the rabbit appear and disappear. I cut a strip 1/2 inch wide of Papertrey Clear CS and glued the Bunny and hat in the middle. I cut two slits in the card and threaded the Clear CS through. Then I glued ribbon pull tabs to each end.The wand was colored with gold Smooch. I cut a star, colored it with Smooch, and glued it to the end of the wand.

I wish Michu would pay a visit to my house! I'm in the process of moving my Scraproom from one room to another. Hubby even bought some shelves for the walls. I'd like to ask Michu to wave his magic wand and put everything in place!

I just had to share this story! The above photo was taken with the "camera" feature of my webcam, so it is not as clear as a "real" photo would be. 

 My three year old grandson received his Softpencil Easter basket and card yesterday. He lives on the West Coast, so I don't get to visit very often. My daughter and I both have Skype (webcam) on our computers, so we visit a lot that way. I got to watch him open his gifts. I sent him some books and candy along with the basket and card. He was so thrilled with the basket! He kept asking if it was for him, and my daughter said, "Yes, it is!" He pulled it out of the box, and inside I had placed a box of marshmallow Peeps. He had never had Peeps before, and he only took a small bite, and then stuffed the whole thing in his mouth! He wanted another, and my daughter said that he would have to wait until after dinner. He then placed all of the Peeps inside his basket and took them for a walk around the house, and sang a little song to them. As he came around the corner, I could see him stuff another Peep in his mouth! His Mom didn't see, and I didn't tell! LOL

It's Softpencil Thursday!

Hello everyone in Blogland! This week the Softpencil DT is spotlighting "Michu, His Friend, and a Paper Boat". The technique is "embossing". I used Marvy Wet Looks Embossing Markers on the polka dots, ribbon centers, part of the boat, and Michu's ears and tail. Then I tossed on some Stamp 'n Stuff embossing powder, shook off the excess, and zapped it with my heat gun until it melted. I used Provo Craft embossing folders and my Cuttlebug on the DP. The CS I used for the waves was already embossed and glittered when purchased. It is from K and Company. Purple and blue CS is  from Bazzil. Flowers are "Got Flowers?", and rhinestones are Studio 18.

"Be Mine" at Softpencil Thursday

This week the DT was given the new Valentine image, "Be Mine". Isn't Michu just the cutest! I LOVE him, and he is so much fun to color. We were also asked to make a "Spring Card". This was new for me, but I checked out the video HERE, and it really was a lot of fun and easy to make. I used heavy Bazzill CS, and I found that it really helped the card hold its shape and "spring".

I added DP to the bottom flap and to the sides. DP is "Me and My Big Ideas", and I found it at a local school supply store at 5/$1! You just never know where you're going to find a great buy so be on the lookout! Speaking of great buys, it's still not too late to get some Valentine images at Elizabeth's Softpencil Store. The "Be Mine" image is only $2! Softpencil images are so cute, and will look great on Valentine cards! Today is Thursday, and you know what that means! It's Softpencil

Preview Day! Isn't this image adorable! It is called "Michu is Giving

Gifts Away." Michu is the little cat and his mouse friend is Ratiny.

Read all about the real Muchula who was the inspiration for Michu

here. I colored Michu to look like one of my cats who is no longer

with us. Danny Boy had a gray spot over one eye and a white face

and paws.The challenge this week is to add "golden touches." My

gold was cut from glittery CS from The Paper Studio. I used MS

punches. Rhinestones were added to the large snowflakes. I found

the presents in the Hot Spot bin at Archiver's. They are buttons from

"Dress It Up." I used a gold gel pen to add highlights to the image,

and MS glitter was added to the Santa hat. A Fiskar's Snowflake

plate was used to emboss the background. Michu is delivering gifts

as he flies through the air. BTW Michula turned three this week.
