Last Minute Halloween Treats from Softpencil!

Happy Halloween! Do you need some quick and easy last minute ideas for today? Let Softpencil help you out! Elizabeth has Clipart and digital papers to make Halloween decorations easy peasy! I used these collections to make some decorations:

They are available in the Softpencil Shop.
When my kids were small, I would make up spooky names for the foods I served on Halloween night. I decided to do the same for my grandson this year. This is the menu:

This is the "real" food:
monster meat-roast beef
white sheets-bread
bat eyeballs-olives and grape tomatos
witch fingers-carrot sticks
graveyard pie-cherry pie

When my daughter was in the hospital last weekend giving birth to her daughter, I saw these cute little plastic containers with Jello in them. I had to bring them home. They made great treat cups. I filled them with Goldfish crackers.

Here is a photo of the top of the cup. It was so easy and quick to make using Elizabeth's Clipart and digital papers. The paper ruffle was made from some leftover DP scraps in my stash.

If you need a quick gift, this gift card holder is fast and easy. I drew an apron and added a pocket to the front.

A gift card fits right inside. I hope these last minute ideas have inspired you. It's not too late to pick up some  Clipart and digi papers from the Softpencil Shop and make some Halloween surprises for your family! Have a fun and safe Halloween!

Trick or Treat this Week at S2G!

Happy Halloween! The big day is almost here! Time to dress up and eat candy! What a fun holiday! The S2G Twist this week is "Trick or Treat"!
I chose the digi "Hallo-Scream". It's the angry looking cat popping out of a pumpkin.

I used the template "Fancy a Cuppa?" from My Time Made Easy for the cup holder.

This is what it looks like when empty.

The cups are also from My Time Made Easy. They are from the "To Go" set. The digis on the cups are S2G "Spookies I". The set comes with three aditional digis.

I filled the cups with candy corn and candy pumpkins. Then I made spiders to match the DP using pompoms, pipe cleaners, and wiggle eyes.
Use the words "Trick or Treat" on your project and link it HERE for your chance to win a digi and Winner's Badge for your blog. Need some digis? The S2G Shop has plenty of spooky ones. Need inspiration? The talented DT has much to share! Their links are in my sidebar. Have a happy and safe Halloween!

She Has Arrived!

Baby Isla Lyn is finally here! Her first name is pronounced EYE-la. Her middle name is part of my first name. She arrived early Friday morning. She was 8 pounds and 8 ounces, and 19 3/4 inches long. I think she is beautiful, but she is my granddaughter. I love her little rosebud mouth.

This picture was taken after she had her first bath.

 Big Brother meets Little Sister.

This picture is my favorite: Mother and Daughter sleeping peacefully. I am so glad that I was here for the birth.

It's Softpencil Tuesday!

I want my Mummy! Actually I want Mummies.....Michu and Ratiny, to be exact!

Aren't they cute! I made a little treat cover.

It's a small box with an open bottom. I made it fit perfectly over......

a marshmallow mummy on a stick. I found it at my favorite inspirational store: The Dollar Tree.

When the treat is gone, the box can still be used as a decoration, or to hide another treat inside!

It's Time to Celebrate!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! Who doesn't like dressing up and eating candy? My grandson loves Halloween too! It's so much fun to share this holiday with him! My daughter and I started early this year. We went on a "Pumpkin Walk". You walk along a path in a tree nursery and look at all of the decorated pumpkins.
I laughed when I saw the look on his face! He was so excited to see a Superman pumpkin that matched his costume.

I wore my Spider hat and new striped stockings and posed beside a Cat pumpkin.

My daughter posed beside some yard gnomes. So cute!

My favorite was the Toy Story Collection.

My grandson really liked the Star Wars pumpkins. What a fun night! We look forward to more Halloween activities!

It's Black and White this Week at S2G!

This week's challenge is black and white! It is optional to add a color, so I did! I LOVE red, black, and white together!

Do witches ever get tired of wearing black? Surely they must have other times when they want to wear a color. I chose the digi image "Be-Witch". It comes with FOUR sentiments! I chose to use a sentiment from another S2G digi. The sentiment I chose comes with one of the "Attitude" digis: "Wear Red". I just couldn't resist! I hope you'll join us for this week's challenge! Need inspiration? The talented DT has a lot to share! Just check out their links in my sidebar. Link your creation HERE for a chance to win a digi and Winner's Badge for your blog. Stop by the S2G Shop for many more digis. The clear stamp sale is still goin on. All clear stamps are only $1! But you'd better hurry, because they're going fast!
