Welcome to the "Follow the Red Cape" Blog Hop at Pixie Dust Studio!

If you arrived here from the very talented Taylor's Blog then you're in the right place! If you just happened upon my blog, please start at the beginning of the Hop at the Pixie Dust Challenge Blog. The rules are simple: Leave a comment on each of the participating Pixies' blogs. One random Hopper will win the entire Red Cape Collection!!!! If you get lost, start back at the beginning at the Pixie Dust Challenge Blog. The Hop ends on Sunday, March 13 at Noon CST (1:00 PM EST). The winner will be announced on Monday, March 14.
Stop by the Pixie Dust Studio after the Hop to see all of the digis in this collection and more!
 Now on to my projects!
I LOVE Blog Hops, and I always try to make something special for them!
Little Red Ridinghood has a special place in my heart. It's one of my favorite Fairy Tales. My very first Halloween costume was... Little Red Ridinghood! I remember the red cape and blue skirt with the yellow trim at the hem. I couldn't wait to wear it. I think I even wore it around the house for a few days!
Little Red NEEDS a basket....Right?
Well I had to make one for her.
I even put her picture on the front of it so everyone knows that it belongs to her! LOL I hope you aren't tired of seeing this template, but it's one of my favorites. It's from Papertrey Ink and is "Pack a Picnic.
And what's in the basket?
Why goodies of course! I put twenty mini Hostess blueberry muffins inside and a Vintage handkerchief that I found at an Antique Mall. Just perfect for "Glamorous Granny"!
See how happy she is? (Couldn't resist showing my Sneak Peek card again.) I used shades of Vintage Red to match the Red Cape theme.
Don't go yet because I have something else to share!
I made an Explosion Box. On the front is the new digi "The Basket". Just soooo cute with a little bird, a rabbit, and a turtle.
 What's inside?
Open the box and there are....
...all the digis in this new release!
Big Red the Horse, Peter the Woodcutter, Glamorous Granny...
Cottage in the Trees, Who Is the Big Bad Wolf?, and of course, The Cape (Little Red).
I made mini Spring Cards for the bases so the images would stand up.
Then I reinforced the back with a small strip of CS.
I thought about gluing them permanently to the collapsible sides so they would fold inside the box....But then I thought it would be more fun if you could actually move the pieces around to tell the story.
I used a leafy green CS from "The Spring Song" Stack by Zoe Pearn.
I think my grandchildren will LOVE this box!
Leave a comment here, and then hop on over to Shelly's Blog to continue the Hop! I know she'll have something fabulous to share! Thanks for stopping by, and good luck in the draw! Pixie Hugs!
