Let's Go Camping!

....I said NEVER! The only way I would consider going camping would be in an RV.
I have too many allergies. Right now I have a poison ivy rash on my wrist, and I have no idea how I got it. Hubs does all of the yard work, and he recently removed some poison ivy from a tree in our yard. Some of the oil from the ivy must have gotten on his clothes, and I came into contact with it. That's my guess on how I broke out in a rash.

Isn't this Vintage Camping Lantern adorable! It looks so real! Don't you just LOVE the little vellum moths!

Here is a picture of the back. I put a LED tea light candle in the opening, (2 for $1 at the Dollar Tree).
You can find this lantern at SVG Cuts. It's from the Camp Smore kit.
I leave you now with one more thought on camping from someecards.com that was posted on FB
"Camping is fun if you like to pretend you're homeless"

Up, Up, and Away!

My daughter received some curtain valances as a baby shower gift, but she didn't have enough for every window in my grandaughter's room. So she asked me if I would make another valance for her.

The top curtain is store bought. The bottom one is my version. I was lucky to find material that matched at Hancock Fabrics.

Fast forward a year later, and I made a coordinating hot air balloon to hang from the ceiling in my grandaughter's bedroom.

I couldn't resist giving it a test run outside!  :)
The pattern is from SVG Cuts, the High Skies kit.

I also made a clock (Yes, it really works!) for my daughter. It's from the Maison de Madeline kit. Mary has made a video that shows you how to put it together. I changed the design a little. I just LOVE how it turned out! Can you believe it's made out of paper?

Happy Fourth of July.......

to all of our American Friends!
I have a group of friends, and we call ourselves "The Flip Flop Girls". We try to meet at least once a month.

I wanted to make something special for them, and this what I came up with.

Each box is filled with large, puffy, melt in your mouth peppermint stripe balls.

The boxes were quick and easy to put together. I cut them out with my Cricut and SCAL2. The files are from SVG Cuts. The star boxes are from the Vintage Paper Rosettes kit. The decorative stars on the boxes are from the Stars and Stripes kit. The DP CS is from Archiver's. They had such an amazing selection of Patriotic paper, that it was hard to choose, but I managed! LOL
Hope you are enjoying the holiday!

Just had to share a picture of my youngest grandaughter wearing her Fourth of July outfit.

Here is a close up of the headband that I made for her. She really doesn't like anything on her head.
I distracted her with a toy and slipped the headband on. Then I quickly snapped a pic before she realized she had something on her head and pulled it off. What a sneaky Nana I am!!!
