BOO!

I don't think this little pumpkin fairy would scare anyone! She is just too adorable! She is Swiss Pixie Pippi from CC Designs. All That Scraps  Challenge was to make a Halloween card this week. I used CS and DP
from The Paper Studio, Ribbon from Hobby Lobby, and Straw Stickles. I cut the leaves out with a CM punch. Well I am off to finish packing. I am going to visit my daughters and grandson for a "mostly girls" week! I am so excited! We will all be in the same time zone!

Who Could Resist.....

the aroma of fresh baked cupcakes? Not Michu! His little Mouse friend just baked some!  Today is Thursday and Sneak Preview Day for the Softpencil Challenge. This week's challenge is to use "bows." The DT was given this cute little mouse stamp "I Will Cook for You." I added Michu peeking around
the corner. Join us in this week's challenge at PCP. Elizabeth has posted some freebies HERE and HERE that you can use. Check out my sidebar to see what the other DT girls have created!
CS and DP is The Paper Studio. Cupcakes and sentiment are Studio g.
Ribbon is Tinsel Town and Home Sweet Home.

Sweet Treats

I made these cute sour cream containers filled with candy corn for my daughter to give to her co-workers.
I used Softpencil digis, Nesties, BG and The Paper Studio DP, and a MS Spider Web punch. Just too cute!
I tied them closed with a ribbon because I just couldn't bear the thought of someone ripping the cute containers open to get the treats inside! LOL

Shake! Shake! Shake!

This is the first shaker card I have ever made. It's one of those things that I thought some day I might make. Well, some day came today! I saw the cutest shaker cards over at Stamps and Smiles Project Tuesday. I thought this would be the perfect card for my sweet, almost three years old, grandson. He loves cats, spiders, and witches. This card has all three!
I cut a black circle with a Nesties and painted dots around the edges with orange "Smooch." I placed an orange circle in the center and then one of my favorite Softpencil images, Michu on a broomstick.
BTW, ALL Softpencil Halloween images are on sale for $2 each!
I then cut four circle frames, layered, and glued them together, and painted black around the inner and outer rims. I added an acetate circle and a DP frame. I added Halloween confetti that I found at Michael's along with some MS glitter. I had to add the glitter because static kept making the confetti stick to the acetate, and it wouldn't shake! Glitter solved the problem and added some extra sparkle.

Close up of shaker box: glitter, stars, spiders, and ghosts!
Bazzill CS, DCWV DP, MS Spiderweb punch, Hobby Lobby ribbon

Happy Birthday, A!

If you recall, a few weeks ago I entered the Cuttlebug Birthday Palooza Challenge. I had originally planned two parties: A Gingerbread House Party and a birthday party for my grandson. I was overly ambitious
and actually thought I could finish two complete parties at once. I was wrong! I posted a pirate invitation for my grandson, but I ended up changing my mind. I scrapped the pirate and replaced him with a cowboy: Cowboy Billy from Pink Cat Studio, to be precise! My sweet grandson loves cowboys! We bought him cowboy boots for Christmas and for a while he even wore them to bed! One of his favorite books is Cowboy Small. Cowboy Small wears a shirt that is just like the one Cowboy Billy is wearing.  The card above is the invitation for the party. I have nineteen more to go! We need to have some extras as souvenirs and for scrapbooks!
CS is The Paper Studio, DP is DCWV, Ribbon is Hobby Lobby.
I also used a Provo Craft embossing folder, pop dots, and a CM star punch.

Trick or Treat Pop Up Card

This is a pop up card that I made for the Softpencil Challenge 3. You can find the directions here at Splitcoast Stampers. I feel guilty that I haven't posted in several days. I am recovering from a stomach virus bug. Hubby has been taking good care of me :) He said I must be feeling better if I made a card! LOL I used one of my favorite Softpencil Halloween images, Little Witch.

This is what the card looks like when it is closed. I ran Bazzill CS through my Cuttlebug with a Fiskar's spiderweb plate. Then I buffed the embossing with brown ink and a paper towel. Flowers are Got Flowers?, pearls are Glitter Dome, and ribbon is Hobby Lobby. I punched a border with a MS Checkerboard punch. It needed something else, so I drew a background spiderweb with a glitter gelpen. Elizabeth, the owner of Softpencil, has a Halloween Sale going on now. Buy three Halloween digis and get one FREE!

I also used the Cute Little Bat image. You can purchase Elizabeth's stamps at her Etsy Shop. She is having a Halloween special. Purchase three digi Halloween images and get one of your choice FREE!
This week's challenge was a color challenge. I used Bazzill CS, and DCWV Glitter CS. DP is from The Paper Company. Border is a MS Spider Web punch. Buttons are Dress It Up and ribbon is Hobby Lobby. Stop by Softpencil and play! You could win three digi stamps!

Coffee Break

Ready for a coffee break? I am! Right now, as I'm posting, I'm having a cup of  coffee with Coffeemate's newest flavor "Belgian Chocolate Toffee." YummO!  Now if I only had a chocolate cupcake to go with it! The stamp and  sentiment  are digi stamps from  Shirley's 2 Girls. The card fits Mojo  Monday's sketch.
CS is Bazzill, DP is DCWV "Indian Summer Stack," and ribbon is Hobby Lobby. I embossed with a Cuttlebug and Swirls embossing folder, and colored the steam and chocolate sprinkles on the cupcake with a gel pen.

Altered Candles

Aren't these candles the cutest? And they are so quick and easy to make.I made 18 of them yesterday in only an hour and a half! Katie Renz has a tutorial on the Clearly i Stamp website. You will need: candles, white tissue paper, wax paper, a heat gun, stamps, and ink. I found my candlesat the Dollar General Store. They are "Vanilla Cream" and come six to a box for $1.50. They smell wonderful! Even the sales clerk (a man) who checked out my purchase, commented on the fragrance! I found littlepumpkin votive candle plates (also at DGS) for $1.00 each. I met my twosisters and stepmother yesterday at the Cheesecake Factory for lunch.Yum! I presented each of them with a small gift bag with six candles and
two plates inside. If you don't want to burn or display the candles they make  great sachets to put in your lingerie drawers.

Soft Pencil's First Challenge!

Elizabeth Pujalka is the owner of Soft Pencil Designs. She has the CUTEST digi images in her store. She also has a Halloween special going on: Buy 3 get one FREE! This is her first challenge. It is to make a card or gift for someone special. I am going to visit my grandson and spend Halloween with him. I have spent Halloween with him every year since he was born. I always make a little scrapbook for him each year with all of our Halloween memories. This year will be very special because my oldest daughter, who lives out of
state :( will also be coming to visit!  :)! So I will get to spend the holiday with both of my daughters!
I found the cutest little alterable book at Archiver's for $1.99. You know how I LOVE a bargain! As soon as I saw it, I knew that it would make the perfect mini scrapbook! I bought three of them!  I have made one for each of us. I used  Elizabeth's adorable Halloween images to decorate the pages.
The book has a spider attached which can be used as a bookmark. My grandson's favorite nursery rhyme is "Itsy, Bitsy Spider." Another plus!
Below are pix of all the pages.

After I have all of my Halloween photos I will print them out in wallet size, crop them, and mat them with the above CS colors. I like to use the wallet size because you can fit so many more pictures in a mini-book.
Hop on over to Paper Craft Planet to enter Soft Pencil's challenge. Elizabeth has two freebies on her blog. You can win $10 to spend in her shop plus a surprise!
Solid color CS is Bazzill, DPCS is The Paper Co., Black Glitter CS is DCWV.

A Sweet Treat

I had to put this "card" in its own post because of all the extras that I
posted along with it for the Cuttlebug Birthday Palooza. It is actually a
gift box that I made and decorated like a card. It opens up....

 .
and inside is a gingerbread cookie- a sweet "Thank you" treat! I was
so afraid I would run out of my DP "Red Holly" by Paper Pizazz,
that I was hoarding each scrap like it was gold! LOL! I bought it at
Hobby Lobby at the beginning of the summer. It was in a markdown
display at the front of the store for ten cents a sheet. I bought three
sheets and packed them away with the rest of my stash. Then I ran
across the Cuttlebug Birthday Palooza and I decided that I wanted to
enter. There were five projects. I finished the last project today, and
I still have almost one-half sheet of Red Holly left! Yay! This project
also fits Pile It On- three dimensional and Cupcake Craft- "Thanks
a Bunch" and ABC- "E is for Embossing."
CS is The Paper Studio and Archiver's. Stamp is Imaginese and
sentiment is by Autumn Leaves. Border is MS.  I used a Swirls and
Dotted Swiss folder by Provo Craft to emboss. Rhinestones are Hero
Arts and ribbon is Hobby Lobby.

Gingerbread House Party V

The final project for the Cuttlebug Birthday Palooza was to make a Thank You card. My card opens.

Inside is a gingerbread cookie. This was such a fun challenge! I took pictures (again) of all my projects
so you don't have to search my blog to find everything.

Here is everything that was required for the challenge in a group setting.
***Double click to get a closer view.***

This is the invitation.

Gift box and coordinating card

Mini book which can also double as....

.......a table runner when opened.

The centerpiece (which has an opening in the back so it can be lit.)
And because I am an overachiever lol, I also added:

a place setting, napkin ring, ornament favor,

decorated candy jars,

                                   and cookies!
Now I am ready for my party, and it isn't even December yet!

Shabby Chic

This my card for WCMD a day late. I hope you got a chance to play yesterday. If you didn't, hop on over to  Mandy's blog Some of the games are still going on. It's not too late to enter! I used Mandy's sketch from Limelight Papercrafts. The challenge was to use the sketch and add texture.
This card also fits Paper Play "Pale and Interesting",
Flutter by Wednesday "Pink and Butterflies,"
Unity WCMD "Focal Sentiment" at SCS,
and Crazy 4 Challenges "Sew Happy."
I used K and Co. Designer CS, heavy vellum, and a Stampabilities sentiment. I stitched and distressed the area around the sentiment. I embossed the vellum using a Provo Craft "Swirls" folder. The butterflies
were cut with a MS punch, sprayed with Tattered Angels Pearl Glimmer Mist, and decorated with Hero Arts Gemstones. Ribbon is Hobby Lobby.

Limelight Papercrafts WCMD Challenge

It's a scavenger hunt!
This collage is for Mandy's WCMD Challenge. It was to make a collage with
these six elements:
1. Mismatched socks  (Halloween and Christmas)
2. A card using no ribbon (Fall card)
3. Your favorite drink (Spiced Chai tea, yummmm)
4. Something that begins with the first letter of your name (candy!)
5. Sidewalk chalk art (I spotted this at a street fair when visiting my grandson.)
6. The funniest thing you can find (I made a Scrap Girl!)
Be sure to enter by 8:00 P.M. Sunday, EST!

Now a year later, I have my own blog and even followers! Yay! I have met so many people and seen so much amazing artwork! I hope you are enjoying WCMD! Stop by Mandy's blog! Her team members have some more fun games for you!
