A Monochromatic Challenge at Pixie Dust Studio!

What's your favorite color? Use it to create a project for this week's Monochromatic Challenge!
I chose Pink! It's the color I use most on my cards. I am always running out of Bazzill Watermelon Sensation CS; my favorite shade of pink. That's what I used for today's post. The adorable image is "Belle of the Ball" from the Have a Ball Collection.
I hope you'll join us for this week's challenge!

My First Digital Image Designed by......

...MOI! ME!
I was working on another baby carriage, and I found the cutest pale blue ribbon with little rocking horses on it. Seeing the ribbon made me decide that I wanted a little rocking horse digital stamp to place on the carriage and matching card.

Hubby has been telling me for months that I should draw my own images. I majored in Art and Education in college. I've been creative all my life, but haven't just sat down and "sketched" in ages. So....I took a deep breath......and came up with "Rocky" COPYRIGHT  ©2011 Cat Darling.

I'm pleased with how he turned out. The template for the buggy is a Lauren Meader Design, "Bouncing Baby Buggy", from My Time Made Easy.

Day One of Sneak Peeks for PDS "Oh Baby"!!!!

Two more days until the Pixie Dust Studio Release of the "Oh Baby" Collection!

I used the image "Baby Boy" for today's peek. I couldn't resist pinning him to the clothes line! LOL
I drew the onesie and the pants myself. Just too cute!

My second peek is "Dear Baby Deer". Isn't it sweet! It can be colored so that it's suitable for a boy or a girl.
Speaking of boys and girls, this image is "Strollin' Prince". The colors and embellies I used are more suitable for a girl, but you can decorate it any way you want. I just HAD to add a little bow to the hair!
Stop by the blogs of our talented DT to see which images they are previewing today. Their links are in  sidebar. I'll have another peek for you tomorrow along with our weekly challenge. I hope you'll stop by and visit!

It's a Girly, Girly Challenge this Week at Pixie Dust Studio!

It's time to use ribbons and bows on your project this week for the Girly, Girly Challenge at Pixie Dust Studio! I had a hard time choosing which Girly image to use. There are so many adorable ones available in the Studio. I finally chose "When Will my Prince Come?" from the Have a Ball Collection. I used a MS punch to make the flower borders. The flowers are actually silk flowers that I purchased on a stem. I pulled them off, colored them with a Copic marker, and then placed a rhinestone in the center.
Pixie Tip
I have a tip for you this week. Have you ever colored an image, and then couldn't find the perfect DP to match? Choosing the DP first will eliminate this problem. Then you can choose the same colors in the DP to color your image. You hardly even have to think about it! It's so much easier! That way everything can match or coordinate.

I hope you'll join us for this week's challenge! Link your project HERE. You could win a Pixie Dust image of your choice and a Pixie Star Award for your blog! There are many images to inspire you in the Pixie Dust Studio as well as fabulous creations on the blogs of our talented DT! Stop by the Studio and the DT's blogs. Their links are in my sidebar.

It's Release Day for New Twilight Images at Pixie Dust Studio!

SQUEE! SQUEE! AND SQUEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's what you've been waiting for! New Twilight Images are available today in the Pixie Dust Studio!
Here is my final page for this release.
Jasper
I had so much fun making this page for my "never ending" Twi Book. As you know, Jasper fought in the Civil War. I went searching on the web for something Civil War related, and I came across this photo from Harper's Weekly. Perfect! I had a jar of Vintage buttons purchased at a Flea Market, and inside was an old metal button. I punched out a star, glued it on top, and attached it to the page. MS punches added a nice touch.

Gotta have a quote from the book!
Maybe you'll be inspired to make a Twi book. If you do I'd LOVE to see it! Missed some of my pages? You can see them HERE. Stop by the Pixie Dust Studio, and pick up your Twi images today!
Deets are HERE. Call ends today!

This week's challenge at Pixie Dust Studio: Old Photos, Black and White, was just perfect to use for my first Halloween card of the season. I LOVE Halloween! You gotta love a holiday that let's you dress up and eat candy! I also LOVE seeing my grandkids dressed in their costumes!
I chose "Dumbledore" from the Harry Potter Collection. The bats are "Just Batty" from the Fun House Collection. I cut the clock from a piece of DP. The fence is a MS punch. I found the spider web ribbon at Michael's.

It's a Thank You Softpencil Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Softpencil Thank You/Farewell Blog Hop! If you arrived from talented Betty's Blog then you are in the right place! If not, and you want to join our hop, then start at the beginning at Creative Kerry's Blog.
Softpencil Studios is discontinuing digital stamps. They will be available only until August 1st. So if you want any images hop on over to the Softpencil Studio, and snap some up! You can get 5 stamps for $10. What a bargain!
Softpencil is the first DT that I was on. I have enjoyed working with Elizabeth the past 19 months, and meeting the girls on the DT. This is the very last posting we will do as Softpencil Design Team members :(.

This is my first card that I posted as a Softpencil DT member. It is
"I Will Cook for You", and it is one of my favorite images. I added Michu, the cat, peeking around the corner.

I made my very first sidestep card and included some of my favorite Softpencil stamps.  Thank you, Elizabeth for the opportunity to work with you and your adorable images! I wish you much success and happiness in the future!
Thank you to friends and followers who visit my blog and leave such lovely comments! Although digital images are being discontinued, Elizabeth is still busy creating Tshirts, Art prints, and skins. The Angel Company is also producing rubber stamps for her with the Tinytwinies! Next on the  Hop list is the very talented Dawn. Stop by and see her Thank You/Farewell to Elizabeth posting. The Hop will end at the Softpencil Studio so be sure and leave some "love" for Elizabeth and wish her well!
P.S. If you missed my Softpencil slideshow featuring all of my Softpencil creations, you can find it HERE.
