More Sweet Treats for Valentine's Day!

I LOVE Valentine's Day! It's one of my favorite holidays! My last name is Darling (Thank you, Hubby) so it's expected! LOL I also LOVE making sweet treats for my kids. This is what I made this year.

The purses were made using Lauren Meader's Purse-onality template available at Papertrey Ink.

The flowers are from Recollections. I added grosgrain ribbon to the handles to make them more surdy and attached them with flower brads. The purses are filled with Lindor Truffles. YUMMMMM.

Next I found some paper mache boxes at Hobby Lobby.

I covered them with DP, added ribbon around the lid, and made a flower out of ribbon for the top.

I also made my son's favorite sugar cookies with buttercream icing. They have to be homemade because my son can tell the difference!

I didn't forget Hubby! I made his favorite Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies with dark brown sugar, extra crispy.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Hope your day is extra sweet!
Stop by tomorrow and I'll have peeks for  Pixie Dust Studio's newest release:

See you tomorrow!

  2. These are wonderful projects and the baked goods look delicious! I had forgotten that Lauren used to work with Papertry Ink. Such a cute purse! I also really like your ribbon roses. Is there a particular tutorial that you used? And have you tried the "gluebers"? I'd like to make some ribbon roses as I've only made one... and it was a very small one at that. Please let me know if there is a site with a really good tutorial. Thanks!
